FAMILIES WITH KIDS ARE ALWAYS
WELCOME!
Kids Love to Fish! It's a great way for family
to reconnect and Capt. Chad has a special and patient way with young
children. He provides a different kind of trip for them and the
whole family - one that allows them to catch fish and have lots of fun,
long before the weather gets to them and they become drained from the wind
and sun. They learn to catch fish while being entertained and educated
about the eco-system, different types of fish and the marine life they
encounter out on the water...like dolphins playing and birds they'll see.
It's an adventure they won't soon forget - everyone has fun and comes back
with plenty of fish!
It was a tough October due to all the fresh water and high tides for us!
So many fish escaped in October should be more flounder
available for flounder run starting December 1st. Towards the end of
2018 I was seeing an abundance of flounder, redfish and trout fry,
as well as juvenile fish. For the month of February remember fish
the conditions you are given for the day don't get stuck on a
location. Just because they were there yesterday doesn't mean they
are there today. We generally are still getting cold fronts so be
prepared to go to drop offs near the flats but for the most part the
Redfish will be holding over shallow water mid day getting some sun
then dropping down to drop offs during the night. Redfish this time
of year are picky eaters one day they want cut mullet the next
peeled shrimp if you're fishing bait.

Whether you're
looking for a relaxing day of fishing with the family or need to hire an
experienced and successful tournament
fishing guide, Capt. Chad Verburgt will share his knowledge with you and show you
winning techniques to catch a whole lot of fish while having fun!
Redfish:
Also known as red drum, this fish has large, distinguishable spots
on the upper part of the tail. Fun to catch and even better to
eat. Many of the local restaurants will cook your catch for
you!
Speckled Trout: One of the most popular sport fish
along the Texas coast. Its
willingness to hit natural/artificial baits make the species
extremely popular with rod and reel anglers Rod-benders!
Flounder:
These flat fish are one of the most delectable fish to eat.
These unique fish are caught at night in the late fall and early
spring month (except for the month of November).
